Modular Cooling & Heating Unit

Our legendary 24-Volt DC water and ration heaters are now pre-programmable, permitting the end temperature to be quickly achieved; then a significant power decrease, triggered automatically or manually, maintains content at a slightly lower temperature while satisfying a stringent power budget.
Our modular Cooling and Heating Unit (MCHU), mainly designed for military crews, combines that programmable heating with a fast and efficient thermoelectric water chiller for keeping the crew hydrated throughout the mission.

Options
Extra Large Water Reservoir
- Will take the heater space
- Allowing to have 6L of water available for chilling
600W or 800W Heater
- To accelerate the heating process
- They can be switched from one to the other through a latching mechanism
- These units cannot be used in combination with the cooling system simultaneously since it will draw too much power.
Mounting Brackets
- Made to support and/or allow the system to be securely attached to your vehicle.
- Can be custom designed and fabricated to your specific requirements.
-
Some Situations where our MCHU system can be used
- Military vehicles
- Transportation vehicles (planes, trains, trucks, etc.)
- Emergency vehicles (police, ambulances, firefighters, etc.)
- Remote location operations (solar panels or 24V generators required)
They can be used to:
- Chill and warm water for beverages, drinks, and coffees
- Heating ration meals
- Supply hot water for unfreezing equipment
- Securely warm and control temperature of emergency blood and plasma packs.
Customization
Factory customizable Pre-Sets (When requested at time of order)
When possible, these settings can be customized to clients specific values. (Within a certain range of values)

The handy, three-litre inner bucket is removable for ease of use, and water can be drawn from the main container by means of a tap conveniently located on the front panel. When larger amounts of water are required, the entire volume of the main container, over four litres, can be devoted to this purpose.
Constructed almost entirely of 18-8 stainless steel, the Isotherm CBU is easy to clean and maintain, yet it weighs less than 8 kilograms. It mounts readily in any vehicle and operates from the vehicle’s 24-Volt DC electrical system.
A three-position switch (center-off) permits selection of two temperature settings, 70℃ or 100℃ (boiling). A green indicator light illuminates when power is supplied to the CBU and a white one illuminates when the heater element is heating. Two redundant protective circuits ensure that power to the heating element is shut off if the main container boils dry. An additional features cuts power to the CBB if the supply voltage drops below 23 VDC, protecting the vehicles batteries from depletion in the event the CBU is inadvertently left on. The CBU returns automatically to normal operation when the voltage again rises above 25 VDC.
Another feature unique to Isotherm’s CBU is the two-valve pressure relief system. By maintaining the pressure in the inner bucket slightly higher than in the main container, there is no danger of water in the bucket coming to a boil, even when the water surrounding it is boiling. Moreover, the two-valve system ensures the two containment vessels are pressure-sealed form each other, ensuring the physical segregation of their contents.

Constructed almost entirely of 18-8 stainless steel, the Isotherm HWR is easy to clean and maintain, yet it weighs less than 16 pounds. It mounts readily in any vehicle and operates from the vehicle’s 24-Volt DC electrical system.
A three-position switch (center-off) permits selection of two temperature settings, 155℉ or 185℉. A green indicator light illuminates when power is supplied to the HWR and a white one illuminates when the heater element is heating. Two redundant protective circuits ensure that power to the heating element is shut off if the main container boils dry, and a 1/3 psi stainless safety valve protects the unit from pressure build-up. An additional feature cuts power to the HWR if the supply voltage drops below 20 VDC, protecting the vehicles batteries from depletion in the event the HWR is inadvertently left on. The HWR returns automatically to normal operation when the supply voltage rises above 21 VDC.
